Super Meet Me on Monday

Blogging  is a funny thing...we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read  and yet most of the time I find myself sitting and wondering, "who is  this person!?"  I know them...but yet I don't know them!  I want  to know who the person is behind all those words so Java thought of a great  way for all of us to "meet" each other!

Every Sunday Never Growing Old will post five get to know you  questions that you can copy and paste into your own Monday post and we  can all learn a little more about each and every one of us!!

Questions:

1.  Did you watch the Superbowl?

Oh, yes I did!  We had been having problems with the cable not wanting to work on the big screen in the Man Cave, but CH got that fixed yesterday, hopefully for good.  During the 2nd half, I had to switch and cheer pretend to cheer for the Steelers so the Packers would win.

2.  What is the last book that you read?
The last book I finished was "The Best Laid Plans" by Sidney Sheldon.  Good, easy read.  I'm currently trying to read "The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo" by Steig Larsson...I'm just having trouble getting into it.

3.  What is your favorite kind of cake?
The done kind!  I've never met a cake I didn't like.

4.  Do you snore?
What a silly question!  Of course not!  (Don't ask CH, though!)

5.  Do you play an instrument?
I played the flute and flugelhorn in high school, with the flute being my main instrument.  In college, I played bass flute in the flute choir.  When I was little, I wanted to be the first female floutist on the Lawrence Welk Show!

Head over to Java's and see how everybody else answered the questions!

  1. I had to google to know what this Super Bowl thing is, this sport is not very popular in Europe. What we have is football but you call it soccer.
Sometimes it's really surprising when you only hear a blogfriend on the phone. You had imagined a completely other voice or accent. That happened to me once !

  2. Our teams didn't make it anywhere near the Super Bowl this year but we watched because, well, it's the Super Bowl! LOL I wasn't really pulling for either team, but, at the same time, was not sad that the Packers won! It's a Rothlisberger thing. I don't like him. And I love Vince Lombardi.

  3. We watched the Super Bowl, hoping for a good game as neither of us had a 'team in that fight'.

Girl with a Tattoo IS difficult to get into. Steig lulls you into this difficulty with reason. Every answer to the book's mystery is in the blandness you read. Having said that, I stopped reading him. Just too much violence! OY!

    Nice getting to know you!

  4. You are so right. I have often wondered those same things about my blogging friends and sometimes I feel as if I have known them for years...and we have never met.

  14. We totally watched the bowl. I have a house full of men. My daughter and I should rent a whole bunch of chick flicks...only she is merely 8. Got a few years for that one.

BTW, you should NOT read the book Wicked. I heard the book was awful, dirty and pretty graphic. The show Wicked was clean, and funny, and amazing. Just FYI.

  15. Good job on #1! With Woodson and the other defensive players out/ not at full capacity, the Packers needed your help.

  16. I've been having some trouble with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo also. Maybe because it's so huge it feels like I will never finish! But I've hung in there and it's been interesting.
