Then Sings My Soul

I haven't participated in this meme in a long time, but I wanted to share this song with you; we sang it last Sunday.  It's so incredibly beautiful; this is one of those songs that make me cry.

We had this sung at my father's funeral. It completely sums up his entire life. Everytime I hear it, I just bawl. Thank you for sharing it with others since it is such an incredible song!

Beautiful!

`I will hold the Christlight for you
In the nighttime of your fear
I will hold my hand out to you
Speak the peace you long to hear`

This is a brand new song to me. Those lyrics are incredible.

"Will you let me be your servant
Let me be as Christ to you
Pray that I may have the grace
To let you be my servant too."

Mary, Thanks for sharing...I love that song too!! Is the video scenes from a St Francis and St Claire movie?? I haven't seen it before.

Thanks so much for sharing this Mary. So beautiful. I'm going to share it with my parents. I think this will bring them some comfort as they are in their eighties dealing with sickness, fears, and uncertainties.

I just wanted to post that I looked and found out that the scenes are from "Brother Sun, Sister Moon", you can watch it online on youtube. We let our kids watch a 10 minute video a few nights a week about a saint, so I was happy to find it.

that is a beautiful song; I was wondering if the scenes were from "Brother Sun and Sister Moon" then read the other comments and saw I was correct in my wonderings. For us to truly grasp to be a servant as Christ served us; what a better world that would be indeed!

glad you participated in this meme this week!

I LOVE that song! I get so excited when we sing it in church, but that doesn't seem to happen very often!
