Meet Me on Monday: Spring break edition

Java graciously gives us questions each week to answer so that we can get to know each other a little better.  Want to join in the fun?  Go to Never Growing Old and link up!

1.  Do you have a fireplace in your home?
We have 2: one in the kitchen area and one in the basement.  When we bought the house we thought about doing something to have one in the living room, but, it would be in a weird place (like it is in the basement).

2.  Can you drive a stick shift?
Yes.  I think that's something everybody should know how to do...just in case.  I love driving one...it makes me feel like Mario Andretti!

3.  How many computers are in your home?
Oh, my.  We each have one.

4.  Are your taxes done yet?  Do you do them yourself?
Thanks to CH, yes.  Had to get the FAFSA stuff done so the boys can get their $ for college!

5.  What is your favorite meal of the day?
Dinner.  Unless we go out.  Then it's that meal.

Don't forget to visit Java and see how everybody else answered!

I'm with you. I think everyone should know how to drive a manual. Just in case of an emergency.
Have a great week!

That FAFSA pushed us too.

2 Fireplaces? Do you use them? It sounds wonderful.

Might be stupid, but I didn't even know they still made stick shifts--I agree though, I love driving one.

FAFSA = PIA! I only have to do it two more years and then I'm DONE with it! I would love to have a house with a fireplace in the kitchen! But the basement? wow. LOL

would love to have a fireplace in the kitchen! love that look.

1. Yes, but it isn't a working fireplace. Right now it has ceramic logs and Christmas lights in it.

2. Yes. But, I do not enjoy driving one. The Man's new car is a stick shift and I've learned how to drive it, but it totally stresses me out. Trying to get my right and and left foot to coordinate with one another is near impossible for me - ha!

3. One

4. Yep. But because I was too efficient, I have to file an amendment because I didn't wait for the tuition statements for The Man's courses last year.

5. Any meal I don't cook myself.

Hear ya' on the FAFSA. Ugh. But then we're pretty calm on 4/15! Mark does the taxes and I told him if he died, I was paying someone else to do it. Not my forte.

I loved your answer about dinner out. I would have said breakfast, but any dinner I don't make is my favorite too. :)

I don't have a favorite meal time but I would love if they were all out! My husband does our taxes and always last minute! I love driving stick and I agree, everyone should know how. Have a great week Mary.

#5 - agreed!! Usually we have our taxes done by now; but, hubby hasn't done them yet. I guess the move upset the routine. Oh well....he has a little time, I think. I enjoyed reading your answers, as always. Hope you have a great week! Candace

I would love to have a fireplace, but don't have one in this little teeny tiny house I live in! We've actually talked about getting a wood burning stove of all things. I love "old" stuff and plus is would be a great way to heat the house as well. Who knows. ~ Hey if this comment shows up in your email would you mind responding so I can see if it will still go to my email? I changed some settings on my comment/email stuff and want to see what the effect is. Thanks! Are you on Spring Break this week?

good for you for getting the taxes done! we wait until the absolute last moment, LOL.

dinner is always a great meal, especially if as many of the family can be there for it!

enjoy your spring break!

Hi! I am visiting from meet me on Monday, although a little late...

I have never heard of a fireplace in the basement. Sounds very cool!

I host a weekly “fill in” blog hop – every Friday…. If you can, please check it out… http://wwwfeelingbeachie.blogspot.com/

Following from Java. Basement fireplace weird? We had a wood stove put there because that is where our family room is and heat rises, so it keeps the floors upstairs toasty!
