Friday Fragments

Mommy's Idea

~  Not only is it Friday, but it's time for Spring Break!  Yep, even though we're technically still in Winter, we're celebrating the vernal equinox with a week vacation!

~ And, what better way to start off break than with a camping trip!  We're looking forward to a weekend with CH's brother & SIL, and one of my brothers & SIL.

~  YS gets home from his cruise today.  The Small Town's band left Sunday night on a 4-night cruise to the Bahamas.  And, they had the opportunity to perform on board.  I can't wait to hear how YS liked it.

~  The week started off a little strange with just CH & me in the house.  It was weird going to bed knowing there wasn't a child in the house.

~  I'm already loving this new Pope.  I just saw an article that he went to his hotel, picked up his luggage (literally picked it up by himself!), thanked all of the staff, and paid his bill.

~  Let Spring Break begin!!!

  1. Enjoy spring break!! My daughter goes to a Jesuit college so she got a text alert from the President of the university about the new Jesuit Pope! Kinda cool!

    I could use a spring break ... oh wait, I'm retired. ha! I guess I'm just missing our annual March trip to Florida. Seriously, I hope your spring break is a productive, restful one. {{hug}}

  4. We have one more week to go. Next week is a nightmare because the 11th and 12th graders are taking the old Alabama High School Grad Exam...the 9th and 10th graders now take the End of Course test.....11th and 12th grade students who don't have to take a portion of the AHSGE are excused for the week...giving them a two week Spring Break....9-10th grade...life goes on. I have mixed classes...I will be enriching....only. Have fun on your camping trip...can't wait to hear all about it!

  7. Camping somewhere warm I hope.
Maybe it's just me but I believe it's easier to get use to no children sleeping in the house than when they are first born and keep the parents up most of the night. Oh yes, I know moms are up more than dads.

  8. I'm a little bummed that Princess Nagger's school doesn't do spring break!

Bet you'll be happy to have YS home again!

The new Pope sounds like a stand-up kind of guy! ;)

  10. Yeah, I'm kind of excited about our new Pope, too. I already feel more connected to him than our last, God love 'im.

Get used to that empty-house thing--It's good practice for the future :)

    Camping? Outdoors? Tell me more...

What is this "spring" of which you speak? ;)

  11. Ah, a cruise. That is my idea of wonderful!!! I have never been, but someday...

I also dream of having an empty house. I know at that moment I will feel lost, but right now....

    We also love camping :-)
