Friday Frags

Half-Past Kissin' Time

~  TGIF.  Or:  POETS Day.  Whichever you prefer.

~  I. AM. SO. TIRED.  This year's schedule is kicking my butt.  I'm so overwhelmed/stressed right now that I'm having a really hard time sleeping.  Too many thoughts running around in my head.

~  Big football weekend:  the Rival Game is tonight.  I'm looking forward to a nice quiet couple of hours all to myself since CH will be carrying the chains & YS and his girlfriend will be going to the game.  His g'friend went to a county high school and was in the band, so she's never been able to experience "THE" game.

~  A new coaching era for The Big Orange begins on Saturday.  There's quite a bit of excitement in the air around here.

~  There's an old wives' tale that says that the number of foggy mornings you have in August will be how many snows you have during the winter...it's been pretty foggy here this month.  Fingers crossed there will be some snow days in my future!

~  Still no followers on my speech blog, but I've picked up some followers on my facebook page.  I've gotten a couple of comments; I forgot that it takes time to get the word out there and get people to follow!  I'm using Linky Parties when I can!

~  I'm looking forward to a long weekend so I can get a little ahead with work, then maybe I won't feel so stressed.  Oh, and hopefully catch up on some blog reading.

Have a wonderful, fun Labor Day!

  1. We've had several foggy mornings this month ... but not enough to suit my desire for snowfalls.

I can relate to the whole lack of sleep thing ... I've got some family issues that are stressing me right now and keeping me awake at night. :-(

Good luck on your speech blog ... and have a wonderful weekend!

  3. I never heard that about fog before but wow our past 4 or 5 mornings here in Philadelphia have been very foggy. It is quite unusual for us to have fog here...hmmmm.
I followed your speech blog, I was looking for the link for Facebook and didn't see it but I will look again:)
I hope you get a chance to gather your thoughts over the weekend.

  7. I am much the same way -- when I have lots going on, I can't sleep. My mind just won't stop running.
Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

  8. Are you moving to the speech blog, or just working on both? I wish you the best. I wasn't able to manage more than one at a time (though I tried).

Thanks for sharing the rivalry story. I always wonder how they begin. We had none in high school and my home state really doesn't have a massive, mean rivalry at the college level either.

I hope you find rest and can shut the brain down for some sleep!!

  9. I've had a sleeping problem since I first had a teenager. My mind starts racing as soon as I close my eyes!

When I was in high school a hundred years ago, we only had two high schools and there was a lot of rivalry!

    Have a good weekend!

  10. I hope that at some point it calms down for you. I don't like those sleepless nights with my mind going a mile a minute! Wishing you some snow days too.....
