Weekend Wrap-up: Beginning of Spring Break

I just finished eating my "Yucky Charms" (because what else would you eat for breakfast on St. Paddy's Day?), so I'm ready to review my weekend!
We really didn't do anything exciting over the weekend.  A little bit of cleaning, a little bit of grocery shopping, and that was about it.  We went out of our usual routine last night, and had dinner where YS works.  It's a fairly new pizza joint, and it's more of a "put on what you want" kind of place.  Kind of like a Moe's or Chipotle's, but for pizza.  We splurged and got cannolis.
I played around with my speech blog a bit, and made a header, plus figured out how to make my writing space wider.  As long as I don't have to touch the html in the template, I'm good.  It makes me really nervous to have to go in and change something in the html.  I just won't do it, especially after messing something up with my speech blog a few weeks ago!
My plans this week:  Finish cleaning the house (LONG overdue!), attempt daily mass (notice I said "attempt"!), get about a gazillion things ready for the rest of the school year, and hopefully, hopefully get some reading in.  On Tuesday, I'm meeting a couple of other SLPs from our system to write a proposal for a poster session for our National Convention.  Fingers crossed it's accepted.  I've never been to a national convention, and would LOVE to go.  This would be our ticket!  Wednesday, I have a hair appointment followed by YS' first college recital, then meeting friends from school for burger night & trivia.  Sometime this week, I've got to get Pepper to the vet for her shots, and getting a pedi is a MUST.  And, I think I need to do a little retail therapy, too.  So, I have a full week!
Hope the luck of the Irish is with you today!

  1. The plans coming up sound fun! I never ever buy Lucky Charms, except for St. Patrick's day. I let the kids snack on them (gross). Speaking of cannoli's, I was just thinking about getting some of those or cream puffs for a dessert to celebrate the (Italian) feast day of St. Joseph on Wed. Great minds think alike! Have a great week!

  2. I've just spent an hour and a half cleaning my kitchen floor, along with the back staircase foyer and the hallway to the family room. All hard wood and all filthy. Winter has been brutal on our floors with all the salt, dirt, snow, and of course the usual dog hair. I cleaned all the baseboards and even vacuumed the wall in the hall. Once you notice the dust it's hard to stop! After I vacuum I clean the wood with a polish. One down, about ten rooms to go! Sounds like you have a very full week...enjoy!
