Hodgepodge #2

1. What is the most amazing weather you've ever seen?
It would have to be the blizzard of '93.  We were living in N. Ga., and it was mid-March.  It had actually been pretty warm, until the day of the storm.  We had thunder, lightening, and snow.  Lots of snow:  5 feet.   If it hadn't been for no power or water, it would've been absolutely beautiful.

2. What is a sound or noise you love?
All my boys talking and laughing.

3. Do you like seafood? What's your favorite seafood dish?
I absolutely love shrimp. Fixed any way.  I'm not picky.  As long as it's cooked.

4. What part of your day requires the most patience?
8:00-2:30.  That would be when I'm at work.  Oh, minus my 30 minute lunch break, of course.

5. What's your favorite shade of blue?
Blue is my favorite color.  All shades.  I don't have a favorite shade of blue!

6. Do people underestimate you?
Honestly, I think people overestimate me.

7. When was the last time you had butterflies in your stomach?
I honestly can't remember.  I'm honestly not trying to avoid the question (honest!), I just can't remember the last time that happened.

8. Insert your own random thought here, and remember...I have a wooden spoon and I'm not afraid to use it.
The girls have finally gotten used to the time change:  the past 2 mornings they didn't get me up until my alarm went off!  YAY!

  1. #4-Ha!

When we lived in NJ the first time around we had a massive snow storm in April. Then it melted in a day. Then our basement flooded in a big way. Ugh!

  3. My favorite color is blue, too. Any shade of blue will do just fine.

  4. 5 feet of snow! That's staggering.

I love your answer to number 2. That is the best, isn't it?

  6. Nice answeres, the time change didn't bother me at all, but the dog!! Well she was all upset that her breakfast was an hour late!

  7. I'm with "the girls", finally adjusting to the time change.

It doesn't take the most patience living with all of your boys? I only had 2, and they sure tested mine...LOL

  8. When I was seven months pregnant with my oldest, we got three feet of snow. It was beautiful, until I had to waddle my but to work (about two blocks) to cancel appointments.

  9. Five feet of snow! I cannot imagine!! I think the most we got when I lived in Montana (from one storm) was 15 inches. I can't imagine 5 feet!! (Koda would have sunk and I would never have found him again)

I like blue too; for me it is so soothing!!

I do believe your work would require you to have lots of patience!

And of course, hearing our kids talking and laughing is always a great sound indeed!

  10. Fun answers. The coldest I can remember it getting here in South GA was in December 1983. I hadn't been married long and we lost electricity because of the weather. Bundled up and went to in-laws. Came back later during the day and the water in the toilet was frozen. Now that's COLD. lol

  11. I agree wholeheartedly with #6. I think people think I can do more than I can or know more than I know, etc--which can be unnerving because I sometimes think I have to live up to what they think!

  12. Glad to know the girls are finally adjusting. Especially since it's getting colder and harder to get out from under the covers in the mornings.

  15. The time change throws all of us for a loop here too. I still can't get used to it being pitch black by 5 either!

  16. I thought I was here earlier today but I guess not. I think I just read about the storm on someone else's blog. Snow and lightning are very strange. I'm still not use to the time change, I'm getting up early. Skye never gets up early, she will sleep until 10am!
