Well.... DUH!

Yesterday I was vacuuming the floors, and I kept thinking, "Why does this vacuum sound funny?" That was followed by, "Why isn't the vacuum sucking up all the dirt?" I knew the bag couldn't be full. Maybe something was stuck in the hose. And, that's when I found the problem:

Yes, it helps to have the hose in the hole to the vacuum and not in one of the attachments. That's right up there with the time that I called CH into the kitchen so he could figure out why the microwave wouldn't start...with the door open.
Ever have one of those "DUH" moments that you'd care to share?

  3. LOL! I once told the hubs, "If you break the spaghetti in half prior to boiling it, you'll have more." I know. I know. He looked at me like I was the world's largest dork.

  5. Mary, that is funny but not as bad as the time when my husband said, "Nathalie, what's our address?"

Like really? It's a wonder he makes it home each day.

  7. Hahaha!! I love this. I once posted about not being able to figure out why my corkscrew wasn't working. Maybe because I was holding the wings down and all it was doing was gauging the cork instead of going through it??

  9. You mean things like going to put the clothes into the dryer and realizing you haven't even washed them yet? How about hearing the oven timer go off and going to get your cornbread out--only to find the oven empty because you never put the cornbread in? Turning on the wrong burner and wondering why your food's not cooking? Stuff like that? No, I never do things like that!
