Unbelievable Story

Last Saturday, the Big Orange had their homecoming game.  The 1st string kicker was hurt, so the 2nd string kicker started warming up, only to pull a muscle during warm-ups.  The coaching staff ended up calling the 3rd string kicker, who was on the couch watching football games.  They called, but the kicker didn't answer.  They called back, but the call dropped due to poor reception.  They called again, and the kicker went outside to get the call.  (All of this happened 50 minutes before the game was suppose to start.)  They told him that they were sending a policeman to get him to the stadium.
As he's getting in the car, he calls his parents and tells them he's getting into the cop car, but then he ended the phone call.  Can you imagine what was going through the parents' minds at that point?
He made it to the game on time, made 3 extra points and 1 field goal, and was handed the game ball.  What makes this story even funnier is that he graduated with MS!  He was the kicker for the football team until the 2nd playoff game of their junior year, when he chose soccer over football.  We're still chuckling today about the whole story.
