Fragmented Friday

Mommy's Idea

~  TGIF!  It's been a busy week, which is good because it made the week go back fast!

~  I've gone 5 days with just a "smidgen" of sugar.  I already feel better.

~  Our tickets for "The Hunger Games" have been bought!  We're having to wait until Sunday since YS has a WinterGuard/Drumline competition on Saturday, and there's no way I'm going to see it opening day.  Our "twin city" has a brand spanking new theater that just opened last week.

~  MS has been on spring break this week, and has spent the week working on campus.  He knew better than to even think about asking us if he could go anywhere this year!

~  There was an amazing sunrise on the way to work this morning, but I didn't stop to get a picture.  It was still dark, but you could see the sun just starting to rise on the other side of the mountain.  The sky was an amazing pink color.

~  This is going to sound crazy, but our gerbils are being "potty trained".  We got a couple of metal lids, put a little bit of sand in them, and put them in the cages where they appeared to do their business the most.  They don't always go in the lid, but they're doing a pretty good job!

~  1 week down, 8 to go!!!

  1. I always love seeing a beautiful sunrise, it was always my reward for getting up early to work day shift at the hospital.

  2. I loved reading the Hunger Games last summer. I am so jealous that my friends in the US can see the movie. In Honduras, it's hard to know when films will come, or even if they will come this way.

    Or so he said - - -

It's been unseasonably warm here, and the sunrises have been gorgeous.

I've just started reading The Hunger Games. Sh! No spoilers! :)

Thanks for linking up. Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. I just love the beauty of a sunrise. No visible sunrise here the last couple of days: rain yesterday and fog today.

  6. Hope you enjoy the Hunger Games. My daughter has been excited about it for awhile now.

No sugar...ut oh. If you took sugar and caffeine out of my diet, I would be dead.

  11. I had no idea gerbils could be potty trained! Two of the lovelies have read The Hunger Games and LOVE the books! I don't know if I'm going to venture into the books or the theater on this one. Let us know what you think after the movie!

  13. I was one of the crazy people who went to the midnight premier of The Hunger Games. I managed to grab three hours of sleep before my alarm clock woke me up for school. Yikes!

BTW, we have ten more weeks of school. BRING IT!

  16. So what did you think of the movie? We saw it today and it was intense! I thought they did a great job, but I have decided I liked reading it better because I can kinda skim the scary parts.

  17. Potty trained gerbils? Will they be playing musical instruments next?? :)
I really think I could maybe possibly go without sugar too. But those two mini-twix bars were so darn good!
Best of luck to you Mary!
