Seeing Green Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. March is known as the windy month. Which of the following phrases best fits your March so far...'throw caution to the wind', 'three sheets to the wind', 'run like the wind', or 'see which way the wind blows'?
See which way the wind blows.  I can't believe March is already almost over!

2. Your favorite green food? Your favorite dish made with your favorite green food?
I like a good salad, for sure.  I also like Watergate Salad!

3. Ever been locked out of your home-car-office-anywhere? Do tell!
When I was in high school, I got home from a tennis match and my parents & younger brothers weren't home.  That was really odd, because someone was always home.  I ended up going to our next door neighbor's house and sitting with them for  little bit until someone got home.  That was waaaay before cell phones, so I had no way of getting in touch with them to find out where they were.

4. Yoda, Kermit, Shrek, The Wicked Witch of the West, Oscar the Grouch, The Grinch, or Mike Wasowski (Monsters Inc.)...of the green characters listed, which one's your favorite and why?
Shrek.  What a lovable big ol' lunk.

5. "The first task of a leader is to keep hope alive."~Joe Batten Do you agree? Why or why not?
Yep.  Without hope, who's going to follow???

6. Share a favorite song with an emotion in it's title.
This is a favorite right now.  I can't hear it without moving!

7. What's a road trip you'd like to take?
Out west to Colorado.  Or Utah.  The fact that this one is out there makes it more appealing!

8. Insert your own random thought here.
I need everyone's opinion:
When you go to a blog where the whole post isn't on 1 page, to you click "Read more", or do you just go on to the next blog?
I've changed my Speech Blog so that the whole post isn't on 1 page, but I wasn't sure how other bloggers felt about it.

Have y'all seen this video?

  1. I love "Happy" by Pharrell Williams and I go around singing it a lot! It really does make you feel HAPPY! Yes, I've seen that last video you shared...pretty fantastic! I've been to CO. several times and I absolutely love it there...you MUST go! In answer to your question...I click on 'read more'. Have a good one!

  2. I'm going to have to check into that Watergate salad. As for the blog question, I suspect they want more blog titles to be on that one page for better SEO and so people can see at a glance other posts they might be interested in. But personally I don't like it. For some reason it just doesn't appeal to me and I often move on.

  3. I really like salads and the Watergate salad intrigues me, sounds almost dessert like. Think I'll have to try it before long.

In answer to your random thought ....... Personally I prefer the whole post being there, unless the first paragraph has really intrigued me I usually don't click, read more.

That's just my opinion, others may feel differently.

  7. Yes I do hit "read more". Several of my blogger friends do it. I don't because I don't know how.

  8. I click over sometimes, but not always. The first couple sentences really have to grab me in order for me to hit read more. Hope you're having a wonderful break!

  9. I picked the same song. I usually don't read a blog if I have to click one more link for the whole blog post.

  10. I prefer the entire blog on the first page, but if it's a blog I enjoy, I'll click to read more. But if it's my first visit and the blogger hasn't "grabbed me", then I'll move on. Sorry.

That song Happy? OH MY GOSH - gets on my nerves... but makes me snap along. How stupid is that?

  12. My boss lady sings that Happy song all.day.long. For about 2 weeks. I'm over it. Happily over it now. :)
    Shrek is the bomb.
I've not come across any blogs where you have to go to another page….but it doesn't sound fun to me.

  13. I usually click the read more button but I don't even like reading news stories on line (or in the paper) that are more than 2 pages.

  15. Thanks for the recipe, I think I will make that for Easter. Yes, hope is a must! That is definitely a road trip you need to make. If it someone I regularly follow I always go to the post. I haven't seen that video but that's a new one for sure. I do love The Voice!

  16. I click read more, and when I visit a blog, I like the short "intro" versions so I can scan through recent post titles without having to scroll all the way through them. As far as the green characters, my favorite is Oscar the Grouch, but I like Shrek, too.
    Blessings,
    Linda
