Friday Fragments

Half-Past Kissin' Time

I'm linking up with Mrs. 4444 for the last Friday Fragments of January.

~ Yesterday, I wore a blue sweater vest with a yellow shirt and blue shoes. At 9:00, I realized I also had on black pants. (Fashion fail.)

~ Monday, MS stopped by to pick up some stuff that he left at the house from Christmas. He also 'fessed up to a little trip to NJ to see a buddy while we were in The Keys. He got an amazing deal on an airplane ticket, and went to Atlantic City & Philly for the first time.

~ How about last night's episode of Scandal?

~ I'm looking forward to another quiet weekend.  Has anybody seen American Sniper? How was it? I've heard really good things about it.

~ The A-Z Blogging Challenge is coming up in April. Have you registered yet?
Not sure what it is? It's fairly simple: "You would start beginning April First with a topic themed on something with the letterA, then on April second another topic with the letter B as the theme, and so on until you finish on April thirtieth with the theme based on the letter Z.  It doesn't even have to be a word--it can be a proper noun, the letter used as a symbol, or the letter itself.  The theme of the day is the letter scheduled for that day." Click on the A-Z picture above to register!

~ Is anybody else having trouble signing out of blogspot? So frustrating. I'm trying to sign out of  the Life in a Small Town blog and sign into my speech blog, but it won't let me sign out at all.

~ Have you seen this video? My boys would absolutely DIE if I even thought about doing this at their weddings (if any of them ever get married...which looks doubtful at this point!), but then again, I can't dance like this mama can!
~Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. What a performance ! I have to admit that with my 70 years I managed to dance a Rock 'n Roll at my sons wedding, and got a lot of applause ! Afterwards I was a "little" breathless, lol !

  2. DH is reading American Sniper, so I suspect we'll watch it at some point (when it comes out on DVD ... we don't like to spend the $ to watch movies at the theater).

  3. I saw that video on Facebook a while ago. They do a great job! It's not something I would have been comfortable doing, but it does look like great fun! I've been thinking about the A-Z challenge. It's a big commitment, I think. We'll see. Have a good weekend!

  4. Too cute with the dance! I agree, son would be mortified if I did this if/when he gets married. Your sons are still "young". Give them time, I'm sure they'll find their way down the aisle :)

Yep, signed up for A/Z; got my theme; got only 5 letters to go to get something for it, now have to start working on the posts.

My niece saw American Sniper. She said it was very intense; made it cry ,but she was glad she saw it. I think I want to see it because certain Hollywood people don't particular like it and I don't like those particular Hollywood people so I would rather have the movie continue to do well, if you know what I mean.

    Enjoy the weekend!

  5. I got dressed last weekend and thought I had put on black pants however when I stepped outside I discovered they were navy. A quick change was required.

  7. I adore that I'm not the only one who gets out of the house and realizes I've had a fashion fail! Thanks for letting us know we are not alone :)

  8. I've read American Sniper and gone to see it in the theater. They actually did a very good job with it. I think it's actually a must-see, but I will say that it is incredibly intense and if you were to bleep out all the f-bombs about half of the dialog would be gone. It's a fairly accurate depiction of what it's like, though. It really ups your level of respect and understanding.

  9. Blue and black are neutrals so supposedly goes together. At least that's what I learned watching What Not To Wear.

  11. I haven't seen American Sniper. I've heard it is wonderful but as a wife of a vet, I'm not sure I can handle watching it. Have a wonderful weekend!

  13. I haven't watched Scandal, yet, but I recently bought the first two seasons, so I can get caught up. I'd like to see American Sniper, too, but haven't been yet. Maybe soon... or I might just read the book, which is on my Kindle.
Loved the wedding dancing video! Mama was amazing, wasn't she?!
